Dhaka Dynamites are on the verge of securing their semi-final berth in the Bangladesh Premier League after registering a 45-run win over Chittagong Vikings on Tuesday.

Man-of-the-match Mosharraf Hossain was the pick of the bowlers with a four-wicket haul for Dhaka, while giving away only 16 runs in his four overs. Hossain was ably supported by Pakistan left-armer Mohammad Amir, who claimed 3-18 in his four overs — the highlight of which was having Mohammad Hafeez edging to the keeper.

Skipper Kumar Sangakkara top-scored for his side with a 36-ball 38 that included three fours and a six, but there was precious little from the other batsmen who were either too slow or didn’t stick around for too long.

As a result, the Dhaka side only managed 121-8 but it proved more than enough in the end.
