ICC launches 2016 World Twenty20 logo

Tournament will take place in India next year starting from mid-march

With only a few months left in the extravaganza, the International Cricket Council launched the logo of the 2016 World Twenty20 on Tuesday.

The tournament is going to take place in India in mid-march next year with 12 teams participating in the event.

The inaugural tournament was won by India in 2007, meanwhile, in 2009, Pakistan came out as the winners of the event. England, West Indies, and Sri Lanka became World Twenty20 champions in 2010, 2012 and 2014 respectively.

The final of the 2016 edition will be played in Kolkatta.

Mike | 8 years ago | Reply Boycott T20 worldcup in India. India is not a safe place for any type public event. ICC is risking the life players for money. India is the world most dangerous place for any type of public gathering. ICC should consider "Players Safety ".
