Pakistan International Airlines initiated an inquiry on Tuesday against one of its pilots for allowing broadcast journalist Reham Khan to sit in the cockpit while travelling to Lahore from London.

Reham was travelling from London to Lahore on Thursday on flight PK-788, when she requested the pilot to allow her inside the cockpit, a PIA spokesperson said.

I am Pathan and I fear no one, says Reham on return to Pakistan

“The PIA management has initiated an inquiry into the matter. It will take appropriate disciplinary action against the pilot in light of the inquiry’s findings,” the spokesperson added.

Further, the spokesperson claimed the pilot allowed the former wife of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan to enter the cockpit on her request and couldn't refuse her.

Although Reham visited the cockpit for a brief period of time, pictures of her inside the cockpit appeared on social media.

Reham Khan: From Hazara to Bani Gala

Reham on Thursday returned to Pakistan, after being away for a month following her divorce to Imran. Speaking to the media at Lahore airport, she said, “I am a pathan, we know how to give our lives and fight. People think they will scare me, threaten me or use bad language with me because I’m a woman… When one is innocent and in the right, why should they be quiet?”
