Day of remembrance: Chehlum observed peacefully

PARACHINAR/NOWSHERA: The chehlum of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA) was observed in Nowshera on Saturday. Meanwhile, the political administration in Kurram Agency chalked out what they called a foolproof security plan to observe the occasion on December 2. An official of Nowshera police said two processions were taken out from Ali Masjid in Saddar and Khattak Plaza in Manki Chowk respectively which terminated in Saddar Bazaar at 5pm. He said heavy contingents of police were deployed along routes. Meanwhile, IGP Nasir Khan Durrani visited Chashmai village in Akora Khattak and laid flowers on the grave of renowned Pashto poet Khushal Khan Khattak. Kurram Agency Assistant Political Agent Naik Muhammad said mourning processions will be taken out from 360 imambargahs in Parachinar and other areas. He said they have prepared a foolproof security plan for the security of the mourners.
