An earthquake gave way to a six-metre high island which emerged off the western coast of Gwadar in the Arabian Sea.
All the very best. This I am not telling out of arrogance but confidence. If only the same amount of energy is channelized towards the nation building exercise and betterment of the people. Lets Fight the kashmir issue some other day.
This is the best strategy. UN Resolutions are there for a reason.
Also, fix the internal situation. Address extremism which has given Pakistan a bad name not just in non muslim countries but also muslim countries.
Completely deweaponise society, so only the army and police have weapons.
under what logic can UN resolution take precedence over elections in J&k , which were internationally acclaimed as free and fair unlike Pakistan where free and fair election has
become existential issue like islamic extremism.
I would be very happy to see Pakistan pressure or persuade China to issue a strong statement in support of Pakistan on Kashmir and condemn India in the strongest possible terms very clearly; not just issuing a confusing statement which is just ambiguous.
If China obliges, it would bring India and USA even closer and, if not Pakistan will realize the reality and the support it has, even from China.
Pakistan is understandably hurt by the US-India deal, but such hurried emotional response will not do any good. On the contrary, it may prove detrimental to the cause.
“Pakistan to turn up the heat on Kashmir again “
Wonderful. Kashmiris are suffering from extreme cold.
But don’t heat up too much, the melting of ice will only flood and drown Pakistan.
I really doubt if any major country would bother. China has issues with Muslims in Xinjiang asking for independence. Russia with Chechen Muslims,Europe is under the grip of islamophobia, US sees India as a strategic ally, Saudi see India as a significant customer. All of these countries see India’s capability in terms of economics & technology.
Pakistan is just a dispensible terror stricken country with nuisance value from the world perspective. I think Pakistan’s value is immense considering its Geoploitical location as only Pakistan can ensure supplies to Afghanistan. Also, it can open land routes between Central Asia to South Asia which can greatly help Pakistan for supplies between India/china to Central Asia. But then the focus must be on trade, not terrorism./Kashmir
Internationalize if you must, and if you can. Raise it in as many fora as you wish. Let there be debates, summit meetings and what not. But for God’s sake, shun militancy. Shun terrorism.
We may see light at the end of the tunnel.
Frustrated and depressed attempt… but its good for paksitan, same time they beg for some money also from these nations.
We already have a lot of issues to deal with, main being internal security. Not a good time to involve ourselves with other security issues at this moment.
What have internationalise, diplomatise and such effeminate tactics achieved? The only way to attain Kashmir is through concerted MILITARY ACTION, remember Badr? Come to recent history, remember Afghanistan 1979? We are Momins, it’s time to teach the Polytheists the power of Pakistan, which is superior to their vegetarian power, lets go in with our armies and our green crescent flag and vanquish polytheism forever.
hahaha Awesome high time i was perosnally disappointed with Pakistan response we want a strong response and would enjoy Pakistan obsesses about Kashmir………Just a Update for Pakistanis ……Indian foreign minister is meeting Chinese and Russian counter parts in China. As for EU hahaha the less said the better….they will negotiate for their business interests using Pakistan and its obsession…Again Pakistan will be left with words…….like one boy band group songs goes Words is all i got hahaha
@Alfa Romeo: What a silly analysis. Pakistan’s transit value between Central and South Asia has nothing to do with Kashmir. Pakistan can do both things at once. If India can pursue this kind of inter-regional and international logistical and trade integration while still sponsoring terrorism in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Tibet and Balochistan, what on earth made you think Pakistan can’t?
@Rhea: Sure why not! Right after you shun your military occupation and genocide on the Kashmiri people. Deal?
@wb: What a silly childish joke that makes no productive contribution to the topic, which, come to think of it, is a perfect thing to post on a forum like the Express Tribune!
@whats in the name: What better advice to follow than your own, my dear Indian? You mind the 165+ armed separatist insurgencies that plague more than half of your territory before sponsoring terrorism in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Tibet and Balohistan. Then tell us to build up and develop our own country before doing anything about Kashmir.
If you don’t want Pakistan to turn up the heat on Kashmir then you resolve the matter in good faith instead of insisting on your preposterous “integral part of India” nonsense.
@gulshan: Go back to your sandbox and play with your dolls. This is a discussion for adults. Anyone who thinks a local election (which the BJP dumped by declaring government rule) has supremacy over a UN resolution has no business commenting on this matter.
Pakistan would continue to support the ‘indigenous struggle’ of Kashmiris by extending “unflinching political, moral and diplomatic support to Kashmiri people.”
In other words – Pakistan will continue supporting terrorism in Kashmir via proxies.
Hilary Clinton is spot on ” you can’t keep snakes in your backyard and expect them only to bite your neighbours”. I wonder when will these Pakistanis learn?
Never mind Bangladesh independence…
Pakistan’s nation motto seems to be- ” Try and try till you decease”…
In all seriousness, how did the envoys of other European countries land in Pakistan, becoz, not to put too fine a point on it, “Aviation authorities in Europe have cautioned their air carriers against flying below 24,000 feet when cruising over Pakistan’s main cities out of fear of potential terrorist attacks.”
Did they jump from the planes using parachutes from 24,001 feet ?
@Rafi Ka Deewana:
We are least interested in what you do, as long as Indians mind their own business.
Excellent. India would love you to raise these issues because it will us opportunity to further explain our POV on Kashmir that:-
India never did demograhic changes, it is Pakistan who settled Punjabi sunni to Gilgit, Balistan to alter demographic profile to suit.
India can have moral grounds to extend support to Balochistan and pakhtunistan freedom struggle. Punjabi Sunni have always exploited Pakhtuns and Baloch for their benefits.
There is only one duty for all statesmen in Pakistan. Crib to the world about Kashmir, and ignore development, business, terrorism, flooding, falling petrol resources, falling international credibility……and more.
Modi did something so right. Never seen Pakistan throwing so much tantrum and being so uncomfortable ever before. Congrats Modi, you are doing the right job.
The only way Pakistan statesmen can keep their citizen happy is by saying that “we r doing something about Kashmir”
Pakistan is already facing an existential crisis. Please don’t expedite it.
Alternate View: why build everything, and better the peoples lives and then fight for kashmir with india, most if not all infrastructure will be destroyed. So lets fight it out. Let there be ONE winner. Then build / better the lives of the general public. Untill then keep fighting.
which idea is better. I am confused
