Fort Derawar: Remains of a beautiful era

Built exactly like the Moti Masjid at the Red Fort in Delhi, the Derawar Mosque made entirely of white marble was constructed in 1844 AD, and has three domes and two minarets. PHOTO: SHAHID SAEED

those days people lived in harmony and peace. All clans and communities used to come together to celebrate all common festivals. s i g h .Wish I could go back 100 ( or 200 ) years back.

Simply because it’s in Bahawalpur so it didn’t get as much importance as Lahore Fort has got from our very own Khadim-e-aala & his Government, though it is equally elegant & historical..!

What Govt does about historical cites is one thing but we can tell our kids about our history, that way we will never loose it, at least we can try.
