    Good to see you all Uniting against Terror. But is it only to prevent internal terror or your terror export to neighbouring nations too?

    @Zaffar: I can hardly blame you for being bitter. Seeing that you already seem to have lumped us all into a single monolithic group, I doubt saying this is going to make any difference, but I’m going to anyway: our leaders don’t come knocking at the doors of ordinary Pakistanis asking their permission to conduct their policies. Maybe its different for you.

    The role our country has played in contributing to this state of affairs was decided mostly by a handful of powerful figures who thought they had it all figured out and actions were taken without real transparency. Many of the Pakistanis suffering at the hands of terrorists today weren’t even alive when the groups were forming.

    There are many, many of us who don’t support terrorism whether its inside our borders or outside them. More than 40,000 of us have been killed precisely because as a whole, we have rejected extremism. Please try to keep that in mind.

    Our government has become so inconsiderate towards the feelings of the general public that they do not see the plight of the 500,000 Hazara people, protests of hundreds in Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi-all over the country. These poor Hazara people are demanding security, justice and freedom of belief, is that so hard to grant? Afterall, these are the basic rights of human!

    @Saad Ibrahim Rasheed: Well said.
    @Zaffar: To you Mr (so called) Zaffar if thats your real name, since you seems to be very concerned about Pakistan and its terrorism, we havent reached the mind state where we destroy the century old preaching places like our secular neighbour and I pray that we dont end up like them either Insha’ALLAH.

    I hope this expression of unity from shias from all over pakistan will make hazaras realize the actual reason of there killings which is there belief. Most of these hazaras think that they are being killed because there race not belief.Its unfortunate.

    It is not shias only. On Sunday in downtown Toronto a big
    Protest was organized by sunni student’s of the U of T. There is a need for everybody, meaning all Pakistanis, whether they are Sunnis,shias, ahmedis, Hindus, or Christians to stand against terrorists (read Taliban/Wahabis/deobandis). They are responsible for all almost all the terrorist attacks against all the religions/sects mentioned above and very proudly take responsibility after each attack. Read Murtaza Haider’s column and see accompanying videos of the Toronto protest on http://www.dawn.com.

    BEARDED TERMITES
    As a country Pakistan has crossed the line on all of civilized norms. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO HOPE FOR THIS COUNTRY. It has spiraled so far down that even a miracle cannot bring it back. Its citizens are in denial. It all started with atrocities against the Hindus. Followed by the Sikhs, Ahmadis, Christians, Shias and now Hazaras.
    It is a natural reaction to cry for help, protest or retaliate when one is provoked, attacked, harmed or killed. But the true test of character is displayed when the protest comes from not the one who is a victim but a person or community with conscious. When Ahmadis were butchered in their mosques, there was not even a tear shed for their loss. Why? Because, it was not me or my community.
    Guess what. Now it is you and your community. ONE BY ONE. The termites are coming after you.
    That is the price you pay when you stay silent against the EVIL.
