    I think she ought not to show off her stolen wealth when her people are hurting so badly. The money her ancestors looted from the subcontinent is finally running out and if she doesn’t steal some more then it might get rid of the bad karma. Lets not forget how did the Queen’s palaces, universities in every city, town and village in England, roads and brick houses in cities, towns and villages were built with money from the subcontinent. It was simple Lord Macualay had the education system changed from desi to foreign and then train the elite Indians (nawabs, mirs maharajahs) to switch to Western clothing styles and colors, hate everything local and love everything foreign, and established the monetary based caste system in the colonies whose rich are now doing the same to the ‘middle classes’ and the poor masses. they scoff at the sign of poverty…

    @Sarah:
    If even if her money runs out, her citizens and the countrymen will support her. Unlike the so called Kings and royal families in the muslim world who are only interested in having a dozen wives and plethora of kids, the Queen is a true patriot who puts the interest of her country first. And dont cry for looted wealth. The wealth was already getting wasted by the stupid mughals who were only interested in useless and control freak government. The subcontinent people were always subservient in nature and remain to this today. All the development that the Britishers did in the region is no match to the blood thirsty muslim warlods did to the land for over a 1000 years.

    Agreed!
    The first thing Macaulay noticed and was astonished at was the ease with which the people here went under the British fold. They ruled over the subcontinent because they could. And no doubt, the infrastructure in this country is what the Raj had developed. You see a single good thing in our system, it would surely be from the colonial era. We are standing where they left us 65 years ago. To make it worse, still coursing them for what they have done to us. Lord Macaulay stands corrected when one sees our attitude. How can a people who haven’t contributed a single bit towards the human civilization and general betterment for at least the last six to seven centuries can blame the other who have done so much to that end? Cursing Macaulay and British cannot do us any good! For God Sake people! Do something else!
