    An unbelievable incident, we lost our dear Zaigham Abbas in this crash. He was truly an air force man, passionate about his career, that has ended so soon. We are awaiting his body in Karachi. One cannot see the pain of this loss his mother is experiencing this evening. May Allah give his parents the strength to bear this loss.

    My condolences to the families of the Air Force officers who have died in this crash. We are with you in this time of ‘azmaish’. Our young officers are our true heros.

    We will forever miss you Zaigham.

    Hello control tower!
    I am pressing the EJECT button, nothing is happening!!
    Pakistani, China ka maal….I’m dead.

    This is not a joke. It is a very serious incidence and must be investigated with accountability (making people accountable) and transparency (no secret investigation).Recommend

    @Anwar: You might innocently not know that (propeller) trainer aircraft are not fitted with ejection seats.

    @Anwar , get your facts right ,its not “Pakistani-China” maal , Mushak is produced by the Swedish SAAB company and is one of the best initial trainers ,plus there is no ejection seat in this particular trainer. Get your facts right before trying to be witty .

    Thanks guys for you insight. I hope and pray there will be a proper investigation. One that has accountability and transparency. There are a lot of advanced technologies available to prevent such accidents. I hope these are used in the future to avoid such accidents. May the martyrs rest in peace and their families have the strength to bear this huge loss. Ameen

    @ Every one,

    We in Pakistan don’t have the proper resources to keep our forces up and running. Our C130′s are overhauled several times, some fighter and war planes are available. Our navy runs on Saudi aid with out any key strength.

    How can two instructors were unable to save a mid air crash of propeller based trainer and also responsible for death of two young pilots.

    the mushak is a derivative of the SAAB safari , a swedish a/c ,

    the point regarding ejection seats can be argued, there are prop trainers that HAVE ejection seats, Short Tucano T1 , Pilatus PC 9, T 6 texan II all have emergency egress systems. i think its high time the PAF consider a new trainer although the MFI 17′s have served pretty well

    Would the owner of the house get any compensation from the air force. Or the poor guy just needs to consider this as a God sent disaster.

    @Allah Ditta Pakistani:

    The trainee was probably flying the aircraft in both cases. The instructor sits next to them. It must have happened suddenly with no time for the instructor to take over and avoid a collision.
