One shouldnt dismiss this as propaganda just like that before conducting some due diligence. It is a known fact that whales/sharks dont float when dead, they “sink”. The boatmen found it “floating” while it was dead just doesnt make sense. Although, I’m not dismissing the fact that it may have been sick hence “floating”, but if that was the case then relevant authorities should have been informed so that a more intelligent solution may have been reached. The buyer of this large fish thinks that he will sell the meat after making profit from its exhibition is seriously mistaken as whale sharks generally rot fairly quickly. What a total waste !

It is very sad if this gentle endangered creature was killed by the fisherman. It is barbaric to put it on show and to exult in its death.

The fishermen said that it was trapped in the nets, that is why it did not sink. The fishing boat was on 28 feet and those guys had no means to kill such a large animal. You should know Pakistani’s normally do not have a taste for shark meat, they brought the shark more for curiosity rather than for meat, and made a few bucks by selling it off for show…..

@Maddy Ali: You are right but they are not wrong as well. Because a fisherman who sold that fish to the harbour claimed on TV that he actually killed that shark and how he brought that shark to shore after killing…..

@Khan: you are right infact there is one incident in which a dead whale actually blasted by the gas build up in his inside as it was rotting.
