That’s the difference between them and us (Pakistan) . Our fashion show was full of vulgur clothing this time…we should learn from them!

Beauty is not in showing off your body parts, Real beauty is actually covering yourself.

Clothes are not a major issue in islam; you are in a much deeper trouble if you arent praying 5 times a day

Impressive – I agree with many that our dress shows should also reflect our culture , which is very rich and far more attractive than strips.

I seriously dont understand why ppl dont understand the concept of hijab! Its NOT to look pretty! So that u dont attract men. You cant just cover your head and then wear a load of makeup and dress yourself in pretty clothes. That is not hijab!

I didn’t know this fact because I didn’t watch it. Do you follow these “vulgar” shows regularly?

considering that most of the Islamic world is located in the extremely hot climatic zones, the clothes portrayed here would not be less than a torture for the poor female populace. unless of course they have the luxury to drool in centrally air conditioned life in Middle east.Wat about Mali and Nigeria and Sudan?

These are not islamic dress. in such dresses woman still looks attractive. Islamic dress does no mean means to cover your body only. it is to cover your self (men and women)

this may be fashion but certainly not Islamic in anyway. Have we forgotten the whole purpose of loose clothing in Islam was to ”not” grab attention of men. this is exactly what this is doing. People condemn jeans because they’re western, but comparatively, this will attract more male attention then any other attire.

go and live in saudi arabia if you don’t like open Pakistani society. I know now all jihadis will vote me down. who cares, I want my people to live as they want to. who cares if their dress up is vulgar to others.

Fashion is for everyone whether they wear jeans, skirts or abaya and our fashion shows cover this range. I don’t see why people are bashing fashion shows here. They are not just for you. They are for everyone.

Models are showing too much face! I think it is still vulgar and un-islamic. The women should only show their eyes and part of their noses. Shame on them!

I am very amazed to read above comments. I think a simple thing should be understood. If you get employment in a company, you have to agree with every term and condition of that company. So, if you embrace Islam, you have to agree with and accept every single order of Allah and His Prophet PBUH whether it appeals your lifestyle or not like Hijab, Islamic punishments, Jihad, Bans on music, vulgur clothing, attracting opposite sex etc etc. Acting upon a thing or not is different but at least to agree with every single rule of Shariat is mandatory. So, If you can’t agree with everything ordered by Allah and His Prophet PBUH (not by Mullah himself without any reference of Quran and Hadith), then you are not compelled to remain Muslim. Don’t be hypocrite. Be brave to show your real faiths. But I again say, if you have to be Muslim, you have to agree with every single point whether easy or hard to digest for you or for the society.

I am impressed with these fashion designers i think they are very talented mashallah and so creative i would love to see more muslim designers design clothes islamically for men and women as we really need them in these times. There was no vulgar nudity of the flesh all the models were covered according to islamic dress and they looked graceful mashallah in their clothes. I do think western fashion desigeners a majority of them show their women in a vulgar way too much nudity is shown and i think this is being disrespectful to the female body that Allah subhana u tala created. I do belive that the female body should be respected by fashion designers and those muslim designers who follow the islamic way of dress for both men and women are blessed by Allah subhana u tala this is why they become more creative and if i might add very talented as i have seen in the current malaysian fashion festival of 2011. The models looked more beautiful and graceful mashallah. One final point all of us are not as beautiful as these models i think it would be a big challenge for a muslim designer wether male or female to design clothes for large females as well as males to accentuate their beauty by showing their good and beautiful points so that they can feel graceful and beautiful too. Fe -Aman- Allah
